July 28th — Douglas Social - Music, fun, food 5:30 – 9 PM August 5th — Clay Artist/Gallery Owner, Kim Kubiak will be in St. Joseph MI at the Box Factory Gallery for an exhibit show of her new clay work 5:30 — 7:30 PM Exhibit runs thru September 4th. August 6th — Art and All That Jazz: Hear the Jim Cooper Jazz Band, a local Jazz Trio, play in front of the Kubiak Gallery 6 – 8 PM August 11th — Douglas Social - Music, fun, food 5:30 – 9 PM August 13th — Art and All That Jazz: Hear the Jim Cooper Jazz Band, a local Jazz Trio 6 – 8 PM August 25th — Douglas Social - Music, fun, food 5:30 – 9 PM August 27th — From 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Kubiak Gallery in Douglas, MI., the night will feature artwork and bios from young South African artists, many of whom currently live in disadvantaged situations. Guests will have the opportunity to support 1 of 45 artists by investing in an art supply kit though Vox United. Art supply kits cost $99 and donations are tax-deductible. September 3rd — Photographer/Artist Mark Brown - Come and meet Mark and view his passion for our area. Mark is also well known for his family and child photo work in Chicago 6 — 8 PM September 10th — Wine and Art in Douglas 1— 5 PM Artist Open House for Painter James Kimbler 6 — 8 PM Meet & Greet and view new art works. September 10th — Art and All That Jazz: Hear the Jim Cooper Jazz Band, a local Jazz Trio 6 – 8 PM October 8th and 9th — Gallery Stroll Sat. and Sun. 12 – 5 PM. Artist Open House for artist Anne Kauff, Painter of Realism 6 – 8 PM October 31st — The famous Adult Halloween Parade starting at 9 PM. Come dressed and march in Douglas' historic adult parade. You'll have the time of your life. See what the child in us feels like dressing up as! November 5th — Galleries come together to feature their glass artist. Last year was "Molten Glass". At Kubiak Gallery, meet local Glass artist Karen Dunn 6 – 8 PM View new works and if we are lucky Karen will be creating glass beads with a process called Lampworking (working with a hot flame). November 19th — Holiday Preview the Sat. before Thanksgiving. A must do event in Douglas. All shops will be open until 9 PM Holiday is in every shop. Find that gift that anyone would love to have!
